The Pere Tarrés Foundation has recently undergone a significant change in its direction, with the designation of Xavier Pomés as new president. This relief was formalized during the last meeting of the Board of Trustees, marking a new chapter for the entity after the departure of Núria Basi, which concluded its term in December.
The profile of Xavier Pomés
Xavier Pomés, with a solid training in medicine and surgery from the University of Barcelona, stands out as a doctor and health manager. His professional career includes various positions of responsibility in the Catalan Government, including the Management of the Catalan Health Institute and the Directorate of Citizen Security, as well as Minister of Interior and Health.
A career full of success
Pomés has not only stood out in the public sector, but also occupied leadership positions in health institutions such as the Board of Trustees of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. His experience extends to various foundations and tips, where he has contributed to the advancement of health and social welfare.
