A shared space of struggles and hopes

At the back of a room she doesn’t choose, a mother finds herself trapped in an environment she never wanted. Her most intimate option is far away, while the most accessible chair, right next to the door, is forced to be exposed to the constant ebb and flow of other mothers who come and go. She is not looking for company, but the need to be in this space makes her feel vulnerable.

The routine of an unknown situation

Every three hours, she has to return to this place that makes her feel uncomfortable. As the days pass, she watches with frustration as some mothers seem to complete their purpose quickly, while she falls behind, drop by drop, in a return that exasperates her. And, despite everything, he tries not to think about it too much.

Conversations that don’t belong to you

Around them, conversations flow between the mothers, full of results and medical tests. She, new to this environment, does not feel part of these interactions. And he doesn’t want it either. The thought of becoming one of the many who share this experience makes her feel anxious.

The weight of expectations

The reality of this room is a constant reminder of their suffering. The tired faces and worn shirts of the mothers around her reflect a struggle she does not want to experience. She feels caught between her imagination of an idealized motherhood and the harsh truth she observes every day.

An oppressive atmosphere

The environment is monotonous and oppressive, with a yellow that, far from being cheerful, transforms into a heavy and bleak tone. The walls of the semi-basement seem to absorb all the light, creating an atmosphere that undermines his soul. With no windows to connect with the outside, she finds herself trapped in a world she doesn’t want.

The design of disconnecting

Under this pressure, the mother finds herself unable to do one of the things she loved most: reading. The simple act of holding a book feels impossible, with your hands busy in this new routine. She watches the other moms single-handedly seem to master the technology, while she shuts herself in her silence.

Unanswered questions

His mind is full of questions he can’t answer: ‘Has he arrived yet?’, ‘Everything okay?’, ‘And you, how are you?’. The lack of answers makes her feel more alone than ever, trapped in an emotional maze she didn’t choose. And so, their reality becomes an internal struggle, where hopes and fears mix at every moment.
