The Department of the Territory promotes a route for active mobility
The Department of Territory has started the works to configure a new infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists on the C-13 corridor, between Sort and Rialp. This initiative aims to promote active and sustainable mobility in this area.
Investment and term of execution
The investment for this work amounts to 3.8 million euros, and the work is expected to take approximately five months to complete.
Road characteristics
The road will be close to three kilometers long and will run parallel to the C-13 road, connecting the municipalities of Sort and Rialp along the right bank of the Noguera Pallaresa river.
This new infrastructure will be mostly three meters wide, with reductions to 2.5 meters in the narrowest sections between the river and the C-13. The pavement will be asphaltic agglomerate.
Environmental impact and containment measures
With the aim of minimizing the impact on the Noguera Pallaresa river and its surroundings, the works will include a slight displacement of the road and will have containment structures. In addition, the corresponding signaling and drainage tasks will be carried out.
Start and end point of the route
The route of the cycle path will start in the vicinity of the roundabout connecting the C-13 with the Llessui road (LV-5223), north of Sort, and will end at the entrance to the urban center of Rialp, in the northern end of the sports area.
