The Iberian Antinuclear Movement and Ecologists in Action denounce the Ascó II and Ascó I nuclear power plants
The Iberian Antinuclear Movement and Ecologists in Action have reported that the Ascó II and Ascó I nuclear power plants are the plants with the most incidents reported to the Nuclear Safety Council, with 33 and 30 incidents, respectively, since the closure agreement.
Activists have lamented the “malfunctioning” of Spanish nuclear power plants, which have reported 164 incidents over the last five years. This, they indicate, means an average of one incident every eleven days.
