Felipe VI, the king with the dirtiest smile in the world

A weekend away from Letizia

Felipe VI and Letizia have separated again for work reasons. The king has traveled to Barcelona to attend the gala dinner of the Mobile World Congress, the most important event in the technology sector. There he met the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, who avoided greeting him, and the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Minister of Industry, Jordi Hereu, who accompanied him at the table. The king has shown a relaxed and smiling attitude, something unusual for him lately.

Relaxation takes its toll

The absence of his wife seems to have been good for the monarch, who has put aside his worries and bad moods. Perhaps the fact that Jaime del Burgo, Letizia’s alleged lover, has not been able to attend the Fair due to being busy with the latest technological developments, has also had an influence. The fact is that the king has become so relaxed that he has neglected his personal appearance, especially his oral hygiene. We already know that Barcelona brings back bad memories, like that time when you saw his hands full of cuts and wounds, but this time he has gone further.

The dirtiest smile in the world

It is no secret that Felipe VI has problems with his teeth. For years they have looked yellow, crooked, poorly brushed and inappropriate for someone who is dedicated, let’s not forget, to image and public relations. Since 2019 we have been warning about the king’s dental deterioration, and in 2024 the situation has not improved at all. On the contrary, it has worsened with an even more disgusting detail: a black spot embedded in an incisor. Dirt. A pa’later, as they vulgarly say. It is one thing to relax at a dinner, another to behave as if you were at the Mesón Castellano on the Burgos highway. He was only missing the toothpick.

A hereditary problem

Teeth are a nightmare in Zarzuela, it must be that the king is afraid of the dentist or is too lazy to go to the office. Also, apparently, keep them in perfect magazine condition. Leonor and Sofía have inherited this bad paternal genetics, and have had to undergo corrective treatments for years. Braces, development and growth problems, constant attention… Everything that he doesn’t do, wow. The monarch’s smile is like his current mood: a disaster.
