Pilar Zamora’s commitment to politics and public service
Pilar Zamora, a prominent member of the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE), has made an important decision to focus on her work as senator. After serving as mayor of Ciudad Real for six years, from 2015 to 2021, Zamora has decided to resign from her position as a councilor on the city’s City Council.
This determination reflects Zamora’s commitment to coherence and exclusive dedication to a single institutional responsibility. Without external pressure, she has voluntarily chosen to leave her position as councilor to focus on her role as designated regional senator.
Working for the well-being of citizens
Although Pilar Zamora says goodbye to the Ciudad Real City Council, she makes it clear that her commitment to the city does not end here. From the Senate, she will continue to work hard to guarantee the well-being of the residents of the provincial capital and all the municipalities of Castilla-La Mancha. Her extensive experience in municipal politics, added to her training as a lawyer, provides her with the necessary tools to continue contributing to the development and progress of the region.
Thanks to your team and militancy
At this moment of transition, Pilar Zamora does not forget to recognize and thank the support received throughout her political career. She especially highlights the work of Nicolás Clavero, who served as head of the Treasury during her two terms as mayor.
Likewise, she shows her gratitude to the PSOE militancy in Ciudad Real, as well as to all the people who accompanied her on different electoral lists and to the councilors who were part of her government in previous legislatures. The teamwork and collaboration of all of them have been essential to carry out projects and improvements for the benefit of citizens.
Changes in the PSOE spokesperson in Ciudad Real
The resignation of Pilar Zamora as councilor entails changes in the structure of the Socialist Party in the city. Sara Martínez, general secretary of the Local Group of the PSOE of Ciudad Real, will assume the role of spokesperson in the City Council. On the other hand, María Montes, current general secretary of the Socialist Youth in the province of Ciudad Real, will occupy the position of PSOE councilor in the council.
These changes reflect the dynamism and constant renewal within the party, allowing new voices and leadership to get involved in municipal management and represent the interests of citizens with enthusiasm and dedication.
