The incident took place between Terrassa and Sabadell and affected Rodalies and FGC services

Train traffic on the R4 de Rodalies has been restored this Thursday morning after being cut off in both directions due to a fatal collision. As reported by Adif and Renfe, the events took place shortly before seven in the morning between the Terrassa Est and Sabadell Sud stations. Emergency teams and railway infrastructure technicians have located a lifeless body on the side of the tracks.

The Mossos d’Esquadra have moved to the scene and have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident. Civil Protection of the Generalitat has activated the pre-alert of the Emergency Plan for the transport of passengers by rail (Ferrocat) for the incident, as they have communicated through the X platform.

Delays and crowds at the FGC

Due to the incident on the R4, the Ferrocarrils Generals de Catalunya (FGC) have recorded delays and agglomerations of passengers who have opted for this alternative means of transport. The FGCs have strengthened their services to respond to the demand of travelers in the two cities of Vallès Occidental. Normality has gradually been restored as rail traffic has been restored.
