A traditional and fun dance that has been performed for 20 years
The Carnival and its entourage will arrive in Mollet del Vallès with the Ball del Barraló, a show full of color and humor organized by Cia. Carnamolles and the Esbart Dansaire de Mollet. This dance is a revival of an ancient dance that was performed to celebrate the entrance of the king of the melting pot into the city.
How to participate in the Barraló Ball
The Carnival invites everyone to participate in the Ball del Barraló, wearing a hat, skirt or mantle. Thus, you can dance to the rhythm of the music composed by Josep Maria Aparicio, with a choreography created by Joan Vallbona. The Ball del Barraló also includes Manyó, a typical late 19th century Molletan character, who delights the public.
When and where will the Ball of the Barraló take place
The Ball del Barraló will take place on Sunday, February 4 at 12 p.m. in Plaça Prat de la Riba. If it rains, the dance will be moved inside the Old Market. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a traditional and fun dance that will welcome the Carnival in Mollet del Vallès.
