The management of the CEM El Tossalet de Berga enters a new phase after the termination of the concessionaire
The controversy over the Municipal Sports Center (CEM) El Tossalet de Berga continues after the Catalan Swimming Federation, which had the concession of the equipment, terminated the contract with the three partners of Alter Sport, which had been in place for more than five years at the head of the center’s management. The Federation has responded to the two publications that Albert Navarrete, Sandra Tristante and Joan Tuson made on social networks, first to reject the accusations of the Federation and then to explain their version of events.
The Federation alleges that Alter Sport failed to meet financial and management objectives
In its new statement, the Federation assures that “the termination of the agreement was due to the lack of economic and management success established in the Business Plan that Alter Sport drew up”. In addition, the concessionaire defends the control of the centre’s accounts, after some dismissed workers claimed that there was an “intention to hide” some data on the operation of the equipment, and says that “Alter Sport had access direct to the accounting of the CEM – El Tossalet”.
The Federation claims its impeccable and audited management
“The accounts of the CEM – El Tossalet are audited every year”, says the Federation, which points out that this information is presented to the Berga City Council in the Tossalet Monitoring Commission, where it says that “Alter Sport has actively participated ” as the direction of the center. “The FCN is an entity with more than a hundred years of history with impeccable management and always with audited accounts”, they claim in the text, adding that “we will not accept in any way the accusations that Alter Sport is making and that tarnish the name of our institution”.
The Federation trusts in the management of the Tossalet by the new team of professionals
To finish, the Federation reiterates its “trust in the management of the Tossalet by the team of professionals who are in charge of the facilities”, and confirms that “The Tossalet is working perfectly normally”.
