The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility approves the road improvement project
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has provisionally approved the project for local improvements and traffic calming of the national road N-332, between kilometer points 219 and 220.8, in the municipalities of Bellreguard and Gandia, in the province of Valencia. The work has an estimated construction budget of 3.3 million euros.
Public information and municipal urban integration
Soon, it will undergo the public information procedure, which involves the publication of the corresponding announcement in the Official State Gazette (BOE). The main object of the project is the improvement of the functional and road safety conditions of the section of the N-332 between Bellreguard and the southern access roundabout to Gandia, through the implementation of sustainable actions that, at the same time In fact, they contribute to the calming of traffic in the crossing of Bellreguard, making it possible to hand it over to the municipality for its future municipal urban integration.
Improvement of access to industrial areas
At present, this section is bordered on both sides by consolidated industrial zones which are accessed from the N-332 itself in improveable conditions. By means of the local improvement actions included in this project, the reordering of accesses to the industrial zones is addressed through a series of complementary actions in the annex road of the industrial estate, in such a way that its functionality is maintained and accessibility for the standard vehicles considered.
Improvement of accessibility and road safety
Complementarily, and with the main objective of improving accessibility and road safety for vulnerable users, along the Bellreguard crossing of the N-332, various pavement paving actions are contemplated, as well as the execution of a new elevated pedestrian crossing.
