Changes to the organization of the Commons
The Commons will experience an internal transformation in the coming months, as announced by the leader of the party in Parliament, Jéssica Albiach. In an interview with RTVE, Albiach has stated that there will be a change of faces in the party at the end of September or the beginning of October. This renewal of the party’s organs seeks to oxygenate it and adapt it to the new political and social challenges. Albiach emphasized that the opinion of the public, both party members and citizens in general, will be taken into account to establish a strategy for the upcoming municipal elections in 2027.
Negotiations for the investiture
With regard to the negotiations for the investiture of the candidate of the PSC, Salvador Illa, Albiach has emphasized that there is good negotiating will on the part of both the Socialists and the ERC. He has affirmed that his party will decide whether or not to enter a possible Island Government based on the evolution of the negotiations. Albiach stressed that the agreement between PSC, ERC and the Commons is one of the two possible options to avoid an electoral repeat. He asked Illa to be proactive and receptive to the proposals of the other political forces.
