by PREMIUM.CAT

The spokesman for Esquerra Republicana in the Congress of Deputies, Gabriel Rufián, has harshly criticized Salvador Illa for his appearance at the commission of inquiry into the Koldo case.

Rufián has affirmed that Illa insulted the intelligence of the deputies with his unprepared answers and with his defiant attitude.

The spokesman for Esquerra Republicana has stated that Illa thought he could get away with four nice sentences, but that this will not fool anyone.

Rufián emphasized that his job as deputy is to show Illa that he is not crazy and that he cannot treat him as such.

On the other hand, Rufián has refrained from commenting on possible political alliances after the next elections, stating that they will agree with those who respect their militants and voters.

Rufián has affirmed that all scenarios are feasible and that the discussion about the Catalan elections must go beyond being a simple dispute between Junts and ERC.

Finally, Rufián has closed the door to a possible pact with Aliança Catalana after the elections, stating that fascism is fascism, regardless of whether it is presented with a star or not.

The appearance of Salvador Illa

Salvador Illa, current first secretary of the PSC, appeared at the commission of inquiry on the purchase of health equipment during the pandemic to give explanations about the Koldo case and the alleged corruption plot related to his ministry.

During his appearance, Illa affirmed that he had no direct relationship with those involved in the corrupt plot and that he followed the established procedure, referring them to the responsible technicians.

Illa emphasized that the Ministry of Health did not contract anything with these companies and that it followed the guidelines of the technicians at all times.
