Ciutadans presents Javier Jiménez as candidate for mayor of Manlleu

Ciutadans Manlleu has announced that Javier Jiménez, 35 years old, will be the candidate in the municipal elections of 2023. It will be the second time he is running after doing so in 2019.

In the previous elections, Ciutadans did not get any councilor and Jiménez, as head of the list, did not enter the Manlleucan council. They were the second least voted political force in Manlleu (346 votes), just ahead of Manlleu En Comú Podemos.

Four years after his first candidacy for the municipality of Manlleu, Ciutadans announces that he will present himself again in 2023 and that Javier Jiménez will repeat at the top of the list. Jiménez has expressed his intention to give a voice to a part of society that is neglected and to introduce liberal policies in Manlleu, such as lowering taxes and issues of public safety.

Ciutadans’ electoral focus: public safety and selective collection

The Citizens’ party will focus its election campaign mainly on aspects of public safety, such as the fight against criminal occupations and repeat offenders. In addition, it will also emphasize stopping the selective door-to-door collection project.

Carlos Carrizosa, president of the group of Citizens in the Parliament of Catalonia, presented Javier Jiménez as a candidate for mayor of Manlleu. Carrizosa emphasized that the party is aware of the city’s problems and that they are committed to addressing them effectively.
