Results of the new survey
A recent survey carried out by GAD3 for the ABC newspaper reveals interesting projections about the upcoming elections in the Parliament of Catalonia. According to this survey, the PSC is emerging as the possible winner of the elections, obtaining around 30% of the votes and securing between 41 and 44 seats. In second place would be Junts+, with around 22% of the votes and between 34 and 35 seats. On the other hand, Esquerra Republicana de Cataluña would suffer a significant decline, obtaining only between 25 and 26 seats, representing approximately 16% of the votes.
Other parties in the survey
The survey also suggests a considerable increase for the Popular Party (PP), which could secure between 12 and 13 seats, representing about 9% of the votes. In contrast, VOX would obtain between 10 and 11 seats with around 8% of the votes. Furthermore, it is projected that the CUP and the Commons would obtain between three and four seats each, while the far-right pro-independence party, the Catalan Alliance, could enter Parliament with between one and three deputies.
Comparison with previous results
Compared to previous elections, there is a significant change in projections. In the 2021 elections, the PSC had already won, but failed to form a government, obtaining only 33 seats. For their part, ERC and JxCat obtained 33 and 32 seats respectively. The other parties also had mixed results, with VOX obtaining 11 seats, the CUP 9, the Comunes 8, Ciutadans 6 and the PP 3.
