A project with a positive impact
The company Nortegas Renovables is promoting an innovative project in the Bages region, in Catalonia. This is the construction of the first biomethane plant, which will have a production capacity of 54 GWh per year, equivalent to the domestic gas consumption of around 8,000 families each year.
Utilization of local resources
This plant, which has the technical advice of Grup Solucions Manresa engineering and a budget of 14 million, will use around 200,000 tons of agricultural, livestock and agro-industrial waste generated in the region. This will represent an energetic utilization of organic matter through anaerobic digestion, contributing to sustainability and local development.
Employment generation and stability
The project also foresees the creation of approximately twenty jobs during the construction of the plant, and between seven and twelve jobs on a stable basis once the activity is underway. This will have a positive impact on the local economy and long-term job creation.
