The spokesman for the Popular Party in Congress, Miguel Tellado, has harshly criticized Pedro Sánchez, leader of the Socialist Party, accusing him of ‘pretending to resign’.

Tellado considers that Sánchez’s decision to continue at the head of the Spanish government shows that he has ‘no limits’ and has accused him of seeking to ‘control’ the media, the opposition and the judiciary.

In an interview with Antena 3, Tellado stated that Sánchez has ‘bolivized’ and wants the opposition to ‘shut up as if this were Venezuela’.

The PP spokesman emphasized that the opposition has the responsibility to control the government and demand explanations.

Tellado has stressed that the PP will continue to demand explanations about ‘a case of corruption which, if true, is extremely serious’, referring to the so-called ‘Koldo case’.

The popular leader has criticized the management of Sánchez and has stated that they have attended ‘for five days a farce’ and ‘a shameful show’ that puts the president of the government in a ‘frankly regrettable’ situation.

Tellado has accused Sánchez of ‘hair pulling’ and has stated that he has tried to ‘victimize’ himself in order to obtain impunity for his own acts and the acts of people close to him.

The spokesperson of the PP has emphasized that Sánchez has tried to ‘take the hair of an entire country’ and has assured that they are in a ‘worse situation than last Wednesday’ because he continues ‘without giving explanations of cases of alleged corruption that are planned by his government , his party and his most personal environment’.

Tellado has defended the importance of respecting the work of the media and has criticized that Sánchez ‘attacks certain media that publish information critical of his management, his government or his personal environment’.

In relation to justice, Tellado has affirmed that he is ‘independent’ in Spain and that all Spaniards are equal before the law, including Sánchez’s wife.

The PP calls for the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ)

Tellado explained that the PP has proposed to the PSOE a proposal to renew the CGPJ and advance the depoliticization of the justice management bodies.

According to Tellado, the PSOE does not accept this proposal because it wants to control the CGPJ and put public institutions at the service of the Socialist Party.

The PP asks for explanations about cases of corruption

Tellado has affirmed that the PP will continue to demand explanations about cases of alleged corruption that affect the government, the party and the personal environment of Sánchez.

The spokesperson of the PP has emphasized the importance of transparency and has assured that the PP is in a situation ‘worse than last Wednesday’ because Sánchez has not given explanations about these cases.

The PP criticizes Sánchez’s management

Tellado has criticized the management of Sánchez and has stated that they have attended a farce and a shameful show that puts the president of the government in an unfortunate situation.

The PP spokesman has accused Sánchez of seeking control of the media, the opposition and justice.
