Urgent called PSC to boost professional training in Terrassa

by PREMIUM.CAT

The PSC requires the mayor a commitment fulfilled

The Party of the Socialists of Catalonia (PSC) has expressed concern about the delay in signing a vital agreement for professional development in Terrassa. This agreement, which implies the assignment of a municipal space to the guild of installers of Terrassa and Region (Greintec), is essential to carry out training and recycling initiatives for professionals in the sector.

An agreement in danger after years of waiting

During a recent meeting with representatives of the PSC, Greintec stated that the lack of progress in the signing of the agreement is due to the breach of previous commitments by Mayor Jordi Ballart. Despite eight years of collaboration, the City Council has not completed the transfer of space, which puts at risk the consolidation of local businesses and the labor reintegration of unemployed people.

Demands in the municipal plenary

Councilor Javier García raised the issue in the last plenary, receiving in response that negotiations with Greintec continue without a clear calendar. Garcia urged Balt to accelerate the process and fulfill his promises, arguing that the lack of action is affecting those who need it most.

Impact on vulnerable families

Socialists have stressed that this delay not only harms installers, but also families in vulnerable situations that depend on regulated services of light, water and gas. The agreement includes the solidarity installers program, which offers reduced rates, thus facilitating access to these basic supplies.

Risk savings

Garcia warned that the delay is costing money to both the City Council and users, who could benefit from discounts of up to 30% or even 100% in essential services. This agreement is vital to ensure that the most disadvantaged families can access resources safely and at a reasonable cost.

Recognition to Greintec and his social work

The councilor also highlighted the important work that Greintec does in the city, thanking his dedication and effort to help the community. The Socialists reiterate their support for the guild’s request to obtain a space that serves as a training center, with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and employment creation in Terrassa.

A call to action

The PSC calls on the municipal government to act quickly and meet the established commitments. It is essential that the signing of the agreement is made as soon as possible, not only to support the installers, but also to guarantee a more promising future for the citizens of Terrassa.
