A Cursed Demarcation
Manchester United’s winger seems to be cursed. Players such as Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and others have struggled to find success at the club. However, the English club could take advantage of the departure of these players to recover part of the financial investment made in them.
Definitive Exit
Anthony Martial has already confirmed that he will not renew his contract and will leave the club for nothing. On the other hand, Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho, who are showing good performance, could generate a significant amount of income for Manchester United if they are sold.
Antony Santos, Another Winger for Sale
The English club are also said to be considering selling Antony Santos, another Manchester United winger. Santos was signed for €95m in the summer of 2022 and the club are now looking to recoup some of that investment.
An opportunity for Barça?
Manchester United would have offered Antony Santos to FC Barcelona, but the Catalan club does not seem interested in the player. With the right wing already occupied by Lamine Yamal, Barça is not prepared to pay the 90, 60 or 40 million euros that Manchester United is asking for Santos.
Recover Investments
Manchester United are looking to recoup the failed investments in the wingers who have not been successful at the club. Although the club does not have financial emergencies, it wants to use the opportunity to recover some of the money invested in these players.
