A significant change in the senior management of Millenium Hospitality
Luis Basagoiti has recently been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Millenium Hospitality Real Estate, replacing Javier Illán after his resignation. This news has been confirmed by the same company to BME Growth.
From now on, Basagoiti will assume the maximum executive responsibility of this prestigious real estate company specialized in the luxury hotel sector. The company’s portfolio is currently estimated at 632.1 million euros, according to the latest half-year results published and the information Servimedia has had access to. The company has eight hotels in full operation and a total of 13 assets.
An outstanding professional career
Luis Basagoiti, who was already a member of the company’s Board of Directors since May 2022, treasures an extensive experience of more than 35 years in the real estate field. He has held various positions of responsibility in companies such as Mapfre Immobles, Iberdrola Immobiliaria, Metrovacesa or Reyal, as well as in several subsidiary companies.
With a solid background in architecture and a specialization in structures, Luis Basagoiti obtained his degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Later, he obtained a doctorate in architecture at the same center. In addition, he has completed his studies with an MBA in International Business Management at the Autonomous University of Madrid and another in Management of Construction and Real Estate Companies at the Polytechnic University.
In addition to his distinguished professional career, Basagoiti has also actively contributed to the academic field as an honorary professor at the Escola Técnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Madrid (UPM). In addition, he has carried out research in the field of light industrialized prefabrication.
