MútuaTerrassa will open next February 12
MútuaTerrassa, a reference health institution in Catalonia, is about to inaugurate its new Advanced Clinical Simulation Center in Terrassa, known as SimCAT. This space, considered essential in current medical education, has as its main objective to provide quality training to health professionals and improve the safety and quality of patient care.
A space for learning and clinical practice
MútuaTerrassa’s Advanced Clinical Simulation Center provides a realistic and safe environment where health science students and residents can develop their clinical skills. In addition, it is also open to MútuaTerrassa professionals who wish to update their skills. By using clinical simulations, participants can put their knowledge into practice and face complex medical situations without jeopardizing patient safety.
Inauguration and simulation with residents
The official inauguration of MútuaTerrassa’s Advanced Clinical Simulation Center will take place next February 12. The event will be presided over by Dr. Antoni Trilla, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the UB, and will have the participation of Dr. Baltasar Sánchez, head of specialized health training studies at the HUMT. During the event, a clinical simulation will be carried out with residents from various specialties, where care will be simulated for a patient who has suffered polytraumatism due to a traffic accident.
Encouraging interaction and coordination between professionals
The MútuaTerrassa Advanced Clinical Simulation Center aims to promote interaction and coordination between the different health professionals. Through clinical simulations, the importance of working in a team and communicating effectively to guarantee quality patient care is highlighted. This inauguration will mark the beginning of a new stage in medical education and clinical practice in Terrassa and throughout the region.

The Advanced Clinical Simulation Center of MútuaTerrassa is the result of collaboration between different prestigious professionals in the field of health. The speeches at the inaugural event will be given by Dr. Yolanda Cuesta, managing director of the Fundació Assistencial MútuaTerrassa (FAMT), and Dr. José A. Monreal, director of mental health care and director of Teaching the FAMT Dr. Antoni Trilla will close the event with a closing speech.
