Oscar da Silva says goodbye to Barça
The German power forward, Oscar da Silva, has announced his departure from Barça Basket this summer. The club officially confirmed the termination of his contract, thanking him for his dedication and wishing him success in his future, both personally and professionally.
Da Silva joined the team in 2022 from Alba Berlin and during his time at Barça, he participated in 136 games in various competitions, achieving an average of 4.5 points and 3 rebounds per game. During his stay, he contributed to the conquest of the Endesa League title in 2023 and two Catalan League titles in 2022 and 2023.
His departure adds to the series of changes in the team, which include the departure of other players and members of the coaching staff, such as coach Roger Grimau, Nikola Kalinic and Oriol Paulí.
New signings for Barça Basket
Arrival of Kevin Punter
Barça Basket has announced the incorporation of North American guard Kevin Punter, from Partizan Belgrade. Punter is expected to improve the team’s outside scoring, bringing his experience having played for teams such as Olympiacos, Olimpia Milano, Red Star and Partizan.
Possible arrival of Dylan Osetkowski
The club is also in talks to sign forward Dylan Osetkowski from Unicaja. His addition is expected to strengthen the team’s defense, as Osetkowski is known for his defensive intensity and his average of 11.8 points per game.
