Betis Advances in Squad Planning
Real Betis Balompié continues to make progress in planning its squad. So far, he has managed to finalize the departure of several players, such as Willian José, whose salary was considerably high, as well as Juan Cruz and Rober González, who were not part of Manuel Pellegrini’s plans. In addition, Claudio Bravo, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Juan Miranda and Guido Rodríguez have left the team after the end of their respective contracts, and Chadi Riad has been transferred to the Premier League.
Planned Movements and New Additions
In the coming weeks, it is expected to finalize the departures of William Carvalho, Abner Vinicius, Borja Iglesias and Nabil Fekir, without ruling out those of Héctor Bellerín, Youssef Sabaly or Germán Pezzella. Regarding arrivals, the only ones confirmed so far are those of Romain Perraud and Marc Roca, who was already on loan at Heliópolis last season. It is expected that the next reinforcement to materialize will be that of Diego Llorente.
Defense Needs and Future Hiring
One of the main challenges at the Benito Villamarín has been the shortage of players in the defensive line. The sale of Luiz Felipe to Saudi Arabia and the recurring injuries to Marc Bartra forced the team to carry out various experiments in that position, a situation that is not expected to be repeated next season. For this reason, work is being done on the incorporation of one or two central defenders, with the Spanish international being the main option.
Signing of Diego Llorente and Other Negotiations
For the past year and a half, Diego Llorente has been on loan at AS Roma, being an important player for Jose Mourinho, who requested his arrival, and for Daniele De Rossi. However, he will not continue in the Italian capital and will return to Leeds United, the club that owns his rights. It is rumoured that his permanence at Leeds is not guaranteed either, as he does not wish to compete in the Championship, the English second division. On the other hand, Betis are close to completing the signing of Llorente, taking advantage of the recent negotiations for Roca with the English team.
Transfer Perspectives and Challenges
The summer is expected to be very busy in Heliópolis, with the possibility of new additions and challenges in the team configuration.
