A new table tennis club in Sant Vicenç de Torelló
Sant Vicenç de Torelló has established a new table tennis club, which is the second in the Vall del Ges. The president of the club, Jordi Castells, explains that a group of friends have decided to create their own club to be able to practice this sport in their own way. This new club, called Sant Vicenç Table Tennis, has emerged as a result of a split with Torelló Table Tennis.
Formation of a school team and growth of the club
Currently, the club already has 20 players, but its main goal is to find boys and girls from the region to form a school that participates in school table tennis competitions. During the summer, the club will appeal to schools and distribute posters to promote this sport.
Club facilities and activities
Sant Vicenç Table Tennis is based in the theater of Borgonyà, a large and well-maintained space that it shares with the plays that are performed there throughout the year. During the major festivals of Borgonyà and Sant Vicenç, the club will organize exhibitions and table tennis matches. The official opening of the club’s season is scheduled for the second week of September.
