Councilor Santi Vila meets with the platform So that they don’t screw up the train in Ripoll
The Minister of Territory and Sustainability, Santi Vila, held a meeting on Friday in Ripoll with a representation of the platform So that they don’t screw up our train. This platform, which has been working for a couple of years to improve the train line, expressed its concerns and claims to the councillor.
Demand for improvements in the train line
The members of the platform asked Councilor Vila to use the powers of the Government to improve aspects such as timetables and the increase in train frequencies. They also emphasized the importance of improving information to users during incidents that occur on the line.
Satisfaction with tariff integration
The members of the platform expressed their satisfaction with the tariff integration in the sixth zone, although they pointed out that there are still aspects that can be improved. They emphasized that some of the necessary improvements depend on the Generalitat and do not involve a large financial investment.
Claims for a better user experience
The platform made several claims to improve the experience of users of the train line. They asked for an improvement in timetables to adapt them to people’s mobility needs, such as arriving in Barcelona before nine in the morning. They also asked for an increase in the frequency of trains, especially between Vic and Ripoll stations. In addition, they highlighted the importance of improving station conditions, such as accessibility for people with reduced mobility and the availability of staff and ticket vending machines.
