A game table adapted to sleepers and sleepers
Solsona has launched a new initiative to encourage the practice of games in the Parc de la Plaça U in October. Since this week, the boys and girls have at their disposal an elongated concrete games table with two built-in benches. This table, in addition to being an element of urban furniture, has the particularity of being adapted to the blind, since the boards contain information in Braille. This allows everyone to enjoy the games without barriers.
An initiative of the Council for Children
This initiative has been promoted by the Children’s Council of Solsona, with the aim of encouraging the practice of games that benefit the cognitive development of boys and girls. In addition, these games also allow and facilitate relationships between children and the elderly, creating a space for coexistence and interaction between different generations.
A request from the Children’s Council and some families
The installation of this games table responds to a request from the Children’s Council of Solsona and several families in the town. These groups expressed their desire to expand the parks with play elements that were not exclusively aimed at young children. So, with this new gaming table, we seek to meet this demand and offer a gaming space for all ages.
A vandal-proof table with three built-in games
The table installed in the Parc de la Plaça U d’Octuber, in front of the civic and community center, is made of anti-vandal material and has three built-in games: chess, backgammon and three-in-a-row. In addition to the games, the table also has benches so players can sit comfortably while enjoying the games. This table has been awarded to Garden Center Ejea for the price of 1,158 euros.
