A Solidarity Initiative
The Escola Tecnos de Terrassa (Vallès Occidental) has seen the birth of several cooperatives formed by its students. Recently, a group of second-year ESO students has set up a cooperative with the aim of providing support to the elderly in the use of mobile phones, a solidarity initiative that has arisen from the student community itself.
Collaboration with the Residence La Vostra Llar
This cooperative intends to dedicate part of its free time to accompany the people of the La Vostra Llar residence, offering them support in the use of mobile devices. This exemplifies the spirit of solidarity and collaboration that drives the students of Escola Tecnos.
Other Outstanding Initiatives
In addition to this new cooperative, the school already has other consolidated cooperative projects, such as Les Músiques, a group of ESO and Baccalaureate students that organizes concerts in school activities. Also noteworthy is the CantinaCoop, which facilitates the distribution of food through a collaboration with a restaurant close to the school.
Commitment to the Community and the Environment
The director of the school, Rosa Pastor, has highlighted other projects such as SolidàriaCoop, which participates in various charity events, and La Nostra, which is in charge of managing the school magazine. These projects have also been involved in initiatives related to recycling and energy, demonstrating an active commitment to the community and the environment.
Support and Collaboration
Escola Tecnos has received support from ESSpurna in the process of setting up cooperatives, and is also part of the Federation of Cooperative Schools (EscolesCoop). This involvement in cooperative networks demonstrates the school’s interest in fostering values of collaboration and student participation.
