We have reached the end of the first month of the current season and the city of Tarragona is full of interesting options to enjoy this weekend.
Local traditions feature prominently in the agenda this weekend. The calçotadas season in Valls makes its official start, in addition to the celebration of one of the oldest fairs in l’Espluga de Francolí.
In addition to the traditions, there is also a wide cultural offer that includes theatre, music and cultural visits, offering everyone the possibility of finding something that interests them for this weekend in Tarragona.

Some of the highlights include:
1. The Great Calçotada Festival in Valls, which was expected to attract many visitors throughout the weekend.
2. The 458th Fair of Sant Vicenç in l’Espluga de Francolí, which will have the slogan “Fire, our origin”, from Thursday January 25 to Sunday January 28.
3. The preview of the documentary ‘Med 2050. More fish than plastic in the sea’ by Good Karma Projects at the Museum of the Port of Tarragona, scheduled for Saturday 27 January.
4. The play ‘Burundanga’ by Jordi Galceran at the Teatre Auditori del Morell, which will take place on Friday 26 January at 9.00 pm.
5. The Day Visits to the General Cemetery of Reus, which offer visitors the opportunity to discover the heritage and history of the site.
6. The closing of the Winter Festival in Vila-seca in honor of Sant Antoni, which will last the whole weekend with several scheduled events.
7. The 2024 Night of Castles in Valls, which will feature the photographer Pere Català Roca in a celebration with many events during the weekend.
8. A new session of the Film Series in Original Version at the Auditori Diputació de Tarragona.
9. The celebration of the first anniversary of the reopening of the Montoliu del Morell Library, which will offer an afternoon full of activities for all ages on Saturday 27 January.
