The March 8 poster
The poster for March 8, Women’s Day, has been hung on the facade of Alcoi Town Hall. This work, made by Andrea Morelló Silvestre, a student at the Alcoi School of Art and Design, marks the beginning of the claims and celebrations that will take place during the month in commemoration of this date.
Focused on women and sport
This year, the demands of the 8M in Alcoi are particularly focused on women and sport. In addition to the hanging of the poster, several activities have been organized to commemorate this date. On March 5, at the Agora, a conference will take place on the media’s treatment of women in sport. On March 14, a table of experiences on the visibility of female athletes will be held, accompanied by a conference by Irene Villa, Spanish champion in adapted skiing.
Demonstration in the city center
On March 8, the claim will take to the streets of Alcoi with a demonstration that will tour the center of the city. This will be an opportunity for the Alcoa community to show its support and solidarity towards women and their struggles for equality.
