The CUP rules out an agreement with the Government
After a meeting this Friday at the Palau de la Generalitat, the cupaires ruled out being able to reach an agreement with the Executive of Pere Aragonès and ended the negotiations.
It should be remembered that for the 2023 budgets, the anti-capitalists did not meet with the Government even once, while this year documents have been exchanged, although the talks have not come to fruition.
Disappointment on the part of the CUP
In this meeting with the Government, CUP deputies Xavier Pellicer and Mar Ampurdanés have expressed their “disappointment” at having reached an agreement with the Socialists.
They are disappointed because ERC has chosen the easy way by renouncing those leftist and pro-independence policies that our country needs.
Throughout the negotiation, the cupaires have asked the Aragonese executive to distance himself from the socialists and their country model, with projects like the Hard Rock, pointing out that this was the president’s “last chance” to a turn in the legislature that has shown itself ready to exhaust, ruling out advancing the elections.
The CUP will propose an amendment to all the accounts
Faced with the lack of agreement, the CUP will propose to its bases the need to present an amendment to all the accounts for 2024, which the Government has approved this week and which have already begun their parliamentary processing despite not having, yet , the support needed to approve them.
Other possible partners
President Pere Aragonès has called Junts and the commons to support this year’s budgets, but has excluded the CUP, since the anti-capitalists have not approved any of the three previous budgets.
The commons continue to demand that the Executive bury the Hard Rock project if they want to continue negotiating, while Junts has harshly criticized the agreement with the PSC.
Despite this, from the executive they are confident that the accounts will go ahead.
