The national police have arrested two individuals who were engaged in creating content for two social platforms, TikTok and Instagram, where they had close to 80,000 followers between the two accounts. Those arrested are accused of sexually abusing four girls who were minors, a number that could grow as the investigation progresses.
How they captured their victims
The two arrested were known as creators of content on TikTok and Instagram, two social networks very popular among young people. Although they did not reach the level of the most famous influencers and creators in the digital world, they had a noticeable influence among a very specific audience: the youngest. It was in this area where they attracted girls, all minors, especially through the platform where they had the most presence, TikTok.
What were they doing in their homes?
As the police officers have informed EFE, the two fake influencers invited them to their flats, in Madrid, and there they drugged and filmed them without their permission while sexually assaulting them. The investigation came to light on Tuesday, but it has been a month since these arrests took place. One of the two members of the content creator duo has already gone to jail.
