A Special Moment
Easter 2024 is a special moment for the La Salle Tarragona Association, as they celebrate a double anniversary. Both the Band of the Mystery of the Prayer in the Garden and the first departure of the pas on the shoulders of the porters have significant anniversaries.
A New Beginning
This is also the first Easter of Maria José Rivas as president of the Lasallian entity, after the renewal of the board of directors the previous year. With new faces and a renewed vision, the organization is experiencing a new beginning in this very important celebration.
Active Participation
During Holy Week, the La Salle Tarragona Association participates in various activities, including the Processional Way of the Cross on Holy Monday, the Procession of Sorrow on Holy Wednesday and the Holy Burial Procession on Good Friday. All of this demonstrates the organization’s active commitment to this religious celebration.
A Moment of Joy and Growth
The president, Maria José Rivas, expresses her joy in celebrating this double anniversary and highlights the growth of the organization with the addition of new members. Both the Banda de Portants and Banda de l’Oración a l’Hort are seen as a close-knit family, demonstrating a strong sense of community and growing together.
Innovation and Tradition
The new board of directors is committed to innovation, while maintaining the essence of traditions. With the use of QR codes in this year’s brochure, the organization seeks to combine innovation with the preservation of traditional practices, showing a balance between the past and the future.
A Historic Decision
The La Salle Tarragona Association made a historic decision 30 years ago by carrying the passage of the Oration to the Garden on its shoulders. This decision has marked the celebration of Easter for the last three decades, demonstrating the strength of the traditions and the commitment of the members of the organization.
Hope and Celebration
After the difficulties experienced during this year’s celebration, the La Salle Tarragona Association hopes to be able to successfully celebrate the organization’s two anniversaries during the upcoming Holy Week activities.
