A session full of highlights
Last Thursday, July 27, the Town Hall’s Plenary Hall hosted the first ordinary plenary session of the new Sant Feliu council.
The topics discussed captivated the attention of the audience present, with special emphasis on issues such as the Riera de la Salut station and bridge, as well as the long-awaited AMBici service that will arrive in the city in October.
Strong complaint against gender violence
The session began with a monthly report on gender violence, where the importance of defending women’s rights and gender diversity was highlighted.
Several motions focused the attention of the plenary, especially those related to the conservation of Sant Feliu’s railway heritage in relation to the burial works.
Preserve the historic Station and the 1854 Bridge
The proposals to preserve the railway heritage generated debate, with a call to study alternatives to maintain the historic Station and the Pont de la Riera de la Salut.
The different positions of the political groups reflected a diversity of opinions, with the challenge of finding a balance between heritage conservation and the city’s current needs.
Various decisions with a vision of the future
Other items on the agenda, such as the creation of recreational areas for dogs and the removal of a bike lane, were addressed with an eye on improving the quality of life for citizens.
Unanimous approvals and disagreements marked the day, with decisions that seek the progress of Sant Feliu and the well-being of its citizens.
