Compliance Required with Penalties
Health centers that do not comply with the use of Catalan will face financial sanctions. This measure seeks to guarantee care in the patients’ preferred language.
Training Itineraries and Interim Places
The centers have the obligation to provide training and sufficient time for professionals to acquire the required level of Catalan (B2 or C1). Interim positions will not be consolidated if candidates do not meet these levels.
References for Compliance
Each center will designate a representative responsible for monitoring the learning and use of Catalan, promoting its use and providing support to professionals.
Volunteering and Quantitative Study
Volunteering is encouraged to form language pairs in the centres, while a study will quantify the number of health professionals who do not speak Catalan. This information will allow us to evaluate the real situation in each center.
