Exploring playful memory through the senses
Until April 6, the Les Monges Cultural Center in La Seu d’Urgell hosts the exhibition ‘The senses of the game’, a proposal that invites people of all ages to immerse themselves in a sensory journey that evokes memories of childhood. This exhibition, presented within the 9th Pyrenees Game Festival, transforms space into a journey that activates playful memory through the stimulation of the senses.
Interactive stations that defy visitors
The exhibition includes several interactive stations that propose small sensory challenges. At the end of the tour, attendees can enjoy a play space designed to foster interaction between families and friends, where you can create new memories while playing.
The power of the senses in recreation of memories
The senses act as catalysts for specific memories: the touch of a wooden surface, the scent of chocolate or the sound of a spinning spin can evoke significant moments of the past. These elements are essential in the creation of playful memory, those moments of play where a simple smell or texture become protagonists.
The ninth edition of the Pyrenees Game Festival
The Pyrenees Game Festival, organized by the City Council of La Seu d’Urgell, will be held from April 4 to 6. This edition highlights the use of board game as an educational tool, while promoting games published in Catalan.
Previous activities at the festival
In addition, this week there will be various activities before the festival, including game sessions for students from schools in La Seu d’Urgell in the Sant Domènec Room, with the participation of about 800 students. Also the Official Language School organizes activities related to the game.
Other institutions, such as the Sant Agustí Library, Meteopirineus and the El Refugi bookstore, will offer game sessions during the afternoons of the weeks before the festival, thus contributing to the festive and educational atmosphere that surrounds this event.
