A New Beginning for Bausen
The president of the Provincial Council of Lleida, Joan Talarn, has recently made a significant visit to Bausen Town Hall, located in the Val d’Aran. In this meeting with Mayor Alidé Sans, they celebrated the administrative recovery of a municipality that had suffered a long period of paralysis for more than ten years.
Aids and Resources for Rehabilitation
In order to address this complicated situation, the Diputació de Lleida has started a collaboration with a business consultancy in charge of preparing the accounting documents necessary for the rendering of municipal accounts since 2015. This includes the liquidation of budgets, the General Account and the documentation required to access state and regional subsidies.
Technical Support for Standardization
In addition, a technician from the Regional Council of Pallars Sobirà has been temporarily assigned as secretary and municipal controller, thus contributing to the normalization of the daily operations of the town hall and guaranteeing smooth management.
Overcoming Administrative Obstacles
Talarn highlighted the uniqueness of Bausen’s case, stressing that no other municipality in the demarcation had endured such a prolonged administrative crisis. ‘Exceptional circumstances require exceptional solutions’, he said, stressing that bureaucratic inaction directly affects the lives of citizens.
Gratitude and Hope for the Future
Mayor Alidé Sans expressed her gratitude to the Provincial Council for its collaboration. ‘Thanks to the plans implemented, we have been able to initiate a significant transformation in Bausen, a small municipality with great tourist potential that had been marginalized for too long,’ he commented.
Investments in Infrastructures
One of the first actions that have been carried out is the improvement of the water infrastructure, a fundamental step to guarantee the well-being of its inhabitants and its ability to attract visitors throughout the year.
Visits that make a difference
This visit is part of a series of itineraries that President Talarn is making through several municipalities in the demarcation, with the aim of establishing a direct dialogue and getting to know first-hand the needs and concerns of the councils.
