A weekend of high competition

On February 1st and 2nd, Boí Taüll is preparing to host one of the most anticipated events of the year: the Sprint and Mixed Relay competitions of the 2025 Ski Mountaineering World Cup. Organized by the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF), this competition promises to be a high-level event, with an eye on the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games.

The Skimo World Cup is not only a competition, but also an opportunity for athletes to accumulate crucial points for their Olympic qualification. Berni Álvarez Merino, Minister of Sports of the Generalitat, has highlighted the importance of this event to boost sport in Catalonia, promoting sustainability and access to sport for all.

Carles Ruiz Novella, president of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, highlighted the collaboration between institutions to make this event possible. Cardona, current European and World champion, is one of the medal candidates, along with other emerging talents such as Marta Garcia and Ot Ferrer, who have demonstrated a high level of competition in previous events.
