A new office for a dynamic movement
The City Council of Igualada has launched an innovative initiative called ‘Igualadinisme’, an office dedicated to the assistance of local organizations. This office seeks to facilitate the day-to-day life of the entities, offering them a support platform and resources that reinforce their activity.
Presentation of the service and its importance
The Councilor for Entitats, Miquel Vives, was in charge of presenting this new office. Vives expressed that ‘Igualadinisme’ will act as a ‘toolbox’ for the city’s associations, reflecting the council’s pride in an active associative fabric committed to improving the community.
Services offered by the office
Among the many services available, we highlight legal and tax advice, specific training, the availability of municipal spaces and a resource bank to facilitate management. In addition, the office will help promote activities through a directory and a specific agenda.
Economic and logistical support for entities
Vives underlined the commitment of the local government, which has allocated more than 488,000 euros to 187 requests, as well as logistical support and the transfer of spaces and materials to facilitate the activities of the associations.
A name with meaning
The term ‘Igualadinisme’ merges the name of the city with associationism, symbolizing the strength and vitality of the associative movement of Igualada. This designation reflects the City Council’s intention to strengthen local entities as drivers of community life.
Location and date of presentation
The office will be located in the North Civic Centre, with services available by appointment only. For its official presentation, an event has been organized on Saturday 5 October, where 90 entities have already registered.
Registrations and interest
Interested entities that have not yet registered can do so via email or phone. The City Council recognizes the importance of the associative fabric as a tool to promote social cohesion and has designed this office to facilitate adaptation to new challenges.
Simplification of procedures and resources
With this new office, the aim is to simplify administrative procedures, offer personalized advice and technical support. Also, entities will be able to access training, shared resources and funding opportunities, as well as digital tools that promote their visibility.
Igualada, a city that bets on its associative future
Through this initiative, Igualada reaffirms its commitment to citizenship and the associative movement, betting on greater cohesion and citizen participation, essential for the development and growth of the community.
