Prosecutor’s Office demands in a tragic case
The Public Prosecutor’s Office has presented a strong request that amounts to a total of 171 years in prison for nine individuals involved in the death of a 26-year-old man in Roquetes, an incident that occurred in early January 2022.

According to the public prosecutor’s report, each defendant faces a sentence of fifteen years for homicide, along with an additional four years for domestic violence. In addition, fines have been proposed that vary slightly depending on the injuries and abuse inflicted.

The events took place on January 2, 2022, when the victim had a confrontation with a group of young people in the Ferreries neighborhood of Tortosa. In this fight, he injured one of his assailants, causing a bruise to his eye.

After the incident, the victim sought refuge in his home, fearing reprisals. Two days later, the defendants identified his home in Roquetes and attacked him, throwing stones and breaking the front door.
