Ukraine’s critical moment
Dear members of the community, we are facing one of the most challenging times in the history of Ukraine. The war has left deep marks on its territory, causing unimaginable pain and a humanitarian crisis that is spreading day by day.
The need for union
In these dire circumstances, it is essential that we, as a Christian community, come together to offer support and assistance. Our responsibility as faithful calls us to act decisively and empathetically.
Essential resources
The current situation has led to an alarming decrease in humanitarian aid. The needs are immediate and the following three categories of resources are essential to deal with the crisis:
1. Rescue vehicles
Pick-up vehicles are crucial to reach those in hard-to-reach areas, where evacuation routes have been severely affected.
2. Electric generators
The lack of energy is an alarming reality. Generators provide a vital source of electricity, helping to keep the heating and lighting on during the coming winter months.
3. Mobile phone chargers
These devices, despite their simplicity, are essential to ensure communication between affected people and emergency services.
The commitment of the community
As a community, we have the opportunity to be agents of change. With the Fundació del Convent de Santa Clara, we have made multiple trips to bring aid and I am ready, together with my team of volunteers, to ensure that these donations go directly to the people who need it most.
A tradition of compassion
Our Church has been a beacon of hope and compassion throughout its history. Now is the time to demonstrate our commitment to the values that define us as a Christian community.
