A carnival full of color and life
Torredembarra has been the scene of a memorable 2025 carnival, with a vibrated atmosphere that has flooded the streets of music and costumes. The most important moments of the celebration were the rues on Saturday night and Sunday morning, with the participation of 2,088 participants spread over 17 floats, including that of His Majesties Carnival and several comparsas.
Technological innovations in voting
One of the novelties of this year was the introduction of a hybrid voting system, where 70% of the score comes from an expert jury and the remaining 30% is decided by the public through the APP Viu la Torre. This tool has received about 1,000 downloads, with 324 people who participated in the voting process in only four hours, despite some technical difficulties.
Children’s activities: a carnival for all
Another of the highlights was the creation of a commission dedicated to the children’s carnival, which has made significant changes such as the schedule of the show, which now starts at 5pm. After the show, the little ones enjoyed a rua followed by a snack in the Plaza de Mn. Joaquim Boronat, with a spectacular confetti cannon.
Creative workshops and crafts
On Friday, the children participated in workshops in the square of Mossèn Joaquim Boronat, creating a total of 350 crafts. The Onada Foundation led a Hats and Crowns workshop, while the Espai Jove offered activities to design masters and monsters.
More activities to enjoy
In addition to the rues, the Carnival offered other activities that were very well received. The Battle of Confeti surprised 1,000 kg of confetti, while the sardine sold out the 260 servings available. The tasting of coca de lardons and mistela attracted 110 buyers. A pet contest was also held in disguised with 22 participants.
Historical Exhibition of Carnival
Until March 28, the Lluís d’Icart room and the castle’s courtyard will host an exhibition commemorating the 45th edition of the Carnival, with more than 400 photographs, spectacular costumes and videos that rediscover the essence of this festival.
Security and Cleaning: A well -organized event
The City Council implemented a security device that ensured the good development of the activities, with traffic controls and the collaboration of Civil Protection volunteers. The cleaning of the streets was done efficiently, with extraordinary cleansing after the events.
Recognition recognition
The Carnival organization, by the City Council, has received praise for the high participation and the festive atmosphere. The Councilor for Festivals, Xavier Suárez, expressed his satisfaction and emphasized the effort of the participating groups who have brought a high level to the rues.
Future of Carnival: Satisfaction Survey
To improve future editions, the City Council has enabled an accessible satisfaction survey for all attendees, with the aim of gathering opinions and suggestions to continue perfecting this estimated celebration.
