Sun, fog and heat records
This Friday it will be sunny in a large part of Catalonia, although it will be more entertaining because the high clouds will increase. The fogs will continue to be the strong point of the meteorological film in the interior, especially in the Plan de Lleida where the atmosphere will remain cold and humid during the 24 hours of the day. The cold that remains in the regions of Ponent contrasts with the very high temperatures we have in most regions with maximums that, on occasion, have reached 27.2ºC in Mieres (La Garrotxa) as if it were May or June. The weekend will also be sunny with intervals of little cloud and the fog will continue to be stubborn in the interior of the country where we will have to stay very warm throughout the day. In the rest, although the temperatures will drop a little, the spring atmosphere will continue. On Sunday afternoon, the sky could be overcast on the Costa Brava.
Radical change of time in sight
Next week will also be marked by the anticyclone with sun and fog. The only news is that we will have more clouds on the coast that could cover the sky and, on occasion, we do not rule out that four miscounted drops will fall. It won’t be as hot as these days, but temperatures will continue to be higher than usual for this time of year. On the days with cloudy skies on the coast, the maximums will be clearly lower on the sea front where, in addition, these days we have some maritime fogs. The monotony of the weather could last for much of the first half of February. Attention, however, to a possible radical change in weather that could affect Catalonia between February 15 and 21.
