David Beckham taking advantage of his stay in Barcelona
The famous ex-footballer David Beckham has come to Catalonia for work reasons, specifically to record a commercial for a beer brand. During his visit to the Catalan capital, Beckham did not miss the opportunity to try his favorite dishes in a well-known restaurant in Barcelona.
A gastronomic experience at Botafumeiro
Beckham enjoyed an extraordinary culinary experience at the prestigious Botafumeiro restaurant in Barcelona. This gastronomic space, located at number 81 Carrer Gran de Gràcia, is recognized for its excellence in cuisine.
The ex-footballer, who has more than 86 million followers on Instagram, shared a photo on his personal account. In the image, Beckham can be seen holding a barnacle while writing: “One of my favorite dishes during my time in Spain.”
First quality seafood and wine
In addition to his favorite dish, Beckham enjoyed a wide variety of seafood, including oysters, crayfish and eels. In addition, he wanted to accompany his meal with several types of premium wine. However, on this occasion he was not accompanied by his wife, Victoria Beckham, nor by his four children.
A restaurant with history and international fame
The restaurant did not take long to share the ex-footballer’s visit on social networks. They did it through a video that in a few hours became viral. In the video you can see how Beckham tries the eels under the supervision of Juan Jesús Pérez Alonso, owner of the restaurant.

Warm reception and visit to the cultural center of Born
When Beckham arrived in Barcelona, a group of people witnessed him getting out of a black van in the neighborhood of Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and la Ribera. After his arrival, the owner of Inter Miami walked along Commercial Street, just behind the cultural center of Born.
During his stay, fans took the opportunity to ask for autographs and take pictures with him. Later, Beckham entered a gallery located on the same street to record his commercial.
