The Osona Physically Handicapped Association celebrates the first anniversary of its new headquarters
The Association of Physically Impaired Osona (ADFO) is commemorating the first anniversary of the move to its new headquarters. This Friday, ADFO is holding a public commemoration event in which the association’s projects will be presented and a commemorative plaque will be unveiled. This celebration is part of an open day at the ADFO premises, located on the ground floor of the Hotel d’Entitats in Carrer Sant Pere de Vic (https://www.softcatala.org/resum-de -catalan-texts/).
The support of Obra Social Caixa Sabadell has been fundamental
The move to the new ADFO headquarters was made possible thanks to the support of Obra Social Caixa Sabadell, which contributed half of the cost of the renovation work on the premises. This support has been made possible through the annual agreement between the Generalitat and the principality’s savings banks. The other half of the cost has been financed by various Ozona companies. This new location has been a great step forward for ADFO’s activity, which has around 940 users from all over the Osona region.
An opportunity to learn about ADFO and its tasks
Throughout the day, the new headquarters of the ADFO will be open to everyone who wants to visit the facilities and learn about the tasks carried out in the association’s workshops. In addition, ADFO’s projects will be presented at noon, which works to improve the quality of life of people with physical disabilities. This event will also include the unveiling of a commemorative plaque in recognition of the first anniversary of the move to the new headquarters (https://www.softcatala.org/resum-de-textos-en-catala/).
ADFO: an association with a long history
ADFO was founded in 1981 and since then has been working to support and improve the quality of life of people with physical disabilities in the Osona region. Currently, the association serves nearly 940 users and offers a wide range of services and activities to promote the inclusion and autonomy of people with disabilities (https://www.softcatala.org/resum-de-textos-en -Catalan/).
