A Unique Artistic Experience
Last Thursday, March 14, I had the opportunity to attend the opening of two contemporary art exhibitions at Palau Falguera in Sant Feliu, as part of the XIII Poetry Week. The exhibitions, entitled ‘Art does not exist’ by Roger Romagosa and ‘Corners of research’ by Roman Bonet, offered a unique artistic experience that challenged the way we perceive and interpret art.
Reflections on Contemporary Art
Contemporary art often invites us to explore unknown terrain and contemplate the complexity of new artistic expressions. Both ‘Art does not exist’ and ‘Research corners’ raised a deep reflection on the way in which we observe and interpret the world around us through art.
The Art of Roger Romagosa
Roger Romagosa’s proposal, ‘Art does not exist’, is an ironic and reflective exploration of the nature of art itself. Through photographs and texts, Romagosa invites us to contemplate the urban landscape of Sant Feliu in an unprecedented way, capturing details that often go unnoticed in our daily lives. The images, accompanied by his writings, transport us to a world where reality becomes a work of art in itself, opening the doors to imagination and reflection.
The Vision of Roman Bonet
On the other hand, Roman Bonet’s ‘Research Corners’ offered us a pictorial experience in its most authentic form. His paintings, made with the oil technique, capture the essence of the Sant Vicenç dels Horts landscape with exceptional thematic sincerity and technical skill. From portraits to landscapes, his works take us on a visual journey full of colors and emotions, inviting us to contemplate the beauty of his artistic vision.
A Final Reflection
These exhibitions have invited us to rethink our relationship with contemporary art and the way we perceive the world around us. They have reminded us that art is a way of questioning and enriching our reality, opening us to new perspectives and experiences. In a world in constant evolution, contemporary art invites us to embrace complexity and to explore the multiple ways of looking at and interpreting the life around us.
