The impact of necrotizing fasciitis
Necrotizing fasciitis, a serious soft tissue infection, is life-threatening if not treated in time. In Llàcer’s case, this condition led to a stay in the ICU, first in Madrid and then at the Dexeus Clinic in Barcelona, where he received intensive medical care for 14 days.
This disease can progress rapidly, spreading from the foot to the leg, and in extreme cases, requires amputation to stop the spread of the infection and avoid fatal consequences.

After overcoming this difficult stage, Àngel Llàcer shared a moving message on his social networks, where he expressed his gratitude for having survived this challenging experience. He spoke about the fear he experienced and the excitement of having overcome this obstacle, considering it as a second chance at life, especially in the year of his fiftieth birthday.
