A reflection on contemporary art
Last Thursday, March 14, I had the opportunity to attend the opening of two contemporary art exhibitions at Palau Falguera in Sant Feliu. These exhibitions were part of the XIII Poetry Week and were an opportunity for reflection and artistic contemplation. The two exhibitions, entitled “Art does not exist” by Roger Romagosa and “Research corners” by Roman Bonet, offered an interesting insight into the act of looking and how this action can lead us to reflect on the world around us .
Contemporary art as a source of new perspectives
Contemporary art has the ability to challenge established norms and present us with new perspectives on the world. This form of artistic expression invites us to explore unknown terrain and to question our own ideas and beliefs. The exhibitions at Palau Falguera were an example of this ability of art to offer us new ways of seeing and understanding reality.
Art as a source of personal renewal
Leaving Palau Falguera, I experienced a sense of personal renewal. The exhibited works invited me to reflect on the world of art and its importance in our daily lives. I was able to appreciate how other artists, like myself, are immersed in the matter of the artistic fact and how it can have a significant impact on the way we see the world.
Art as a reflection on one’s own nature
The exhibitions at Palau Falguera raised a deep reflection on the nature of art and its relationship with the world around us. The exhibition “Art does not exist” by Roger Romagosa used photographs and texts to explore the idea that everything we see can be considered a work of art. This ironic proposal invites us to question the limits of art and to consider our own capacity to appreciate the beauty in the world around us.
Art as personal expression
Roman Bonet’s “Research corners” exhibition presented a collection of paintings that reflected his personal vision of Sant Vicenç dels Horts. Through these paintings, Bonet captured the beauty of his surroundings and conveyed his own emotions and experiences. His works evolved from more realistic representations to intense abstraction, inviting us to explore the world through his eyes.
The importance of the seeing eye
The exhibitions at Palau Falguera highlighted the importance of the eye that sees in contemporary art. Each person has a unique and personal perspective on the world, and that perspective is reflected in the way we look at and interpret works of art. Contemporary art invites us to get out of our mental box and to explore new ways of seeing and understanding the reality that surrounds us.
conclusion
Contemporary art is a form of artistic expression that invites us to reflect, question and explore the world around us. The exhibitions at Palau Falguera were an opportunity to contemplate and appreciate this art form, and offered an interesting insight into the importance of the eye that sees. Through the works on display, we were able to experience personal renewal and deep reflection on the nature of art and its relationship to our own lives. In short, contemporary art invites us to look at the world with new eyes and to discover the beauty and complexity that surrounds us.
