A New Stage for the Sports Complex
The technical sports complex of Vila-real opens its doors again after almost three years of closure due to the structural deficiencies that had affected the infrastructure.
The reopening of the pavilion has been announced by the councilor for Sports, Xus Madrigal, who has confirmed that from next February 5, the complex will once again host the activities of the Vila-real Basketball Sports Club and the Vilaesport Fútbol Sala.
The Rescue of an Emblematic Infrastructure
The pavilion of the Sports Technology Complex already has a date to reopen the doors to the sports clubs after the roof and parquet repair work has been completed. The closure, which has lasted almost three years, was due to structural problems that affected the roof and wooden flooring.
Specifically, the closure occurred in April 2021 when the City Council was forced to close the sports complex due to serious problems with the roof of this infrastructure.
Repairs and Joint Efforts
The Vila-real council has had to work intensively together with the Generalitat Valenciana to deal with the necessary repairs. The works, which have included the repair of the roof and parquet, have required a substantial investment.
After a series of recruitments and budget extensions, the works have come to a successful conclusion. Now, the pavilion is ready to host sporting activities and local events again.
A New Beginning for Vila-real
The reopening of the sports complex not only represents an important milestone for local clubs but also a step towards the restoration of sports facilities in the city.
Councilor Madrigal has underlined the importance of this restoration, pointing out the efforts of the municipal government to recover a key element of Vila-real’s sporting life.
Now, clubs and users can look forward to enjoying new moments and experiences in a fully restored and safe environment.
