An unprecedented event
The city of Barcelona has hosted the first edition of Talent Arena, a room dedicated to digital talent, which took place from March 3 to 5, 2025, coinciding with the Mobile World Congress. More than 20,000 developers from 115 countries participated in this event, with a remarkable 53% of experienced professionals, representing more than 1,500 companies.

During these three dynamic days, attendees had the opportunity to relate to various technology companies, as well as participating in creative hacktons and workshops. The program included 223 sessions led by relevant figures in the technology sector, encouraging an atmosphere of inspiration and innovation.
Commitment to diversity
One of the key objectives of the event was to increase the visibility of women in technology, with 40% of the speakers being prominent women in their field. This initiative, promoted by MWCITAL, seeks to promote gender equality and recognize female contributions in leadership positions in the industry.

Arena talent addressed crucial issues such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and quantum computing, as well as technological sovereignty in Europe and challenges in attracting digital talent in an increasingly competitive market. Figures like Steve Wozniak, Apple co -founder, and Garri Kasparov, chess teacher, shared their views on the future of technology.

The speakers also counted names such as Cassie Kozyrkov, a pioneer in IA, and Google professionals such as Xavier Amatriain and Pilar Manchón, as well as Antonio Torralba del Mit, giving a unique perspective on current trends in the sector.
Looking to the future: Talent Arena 2026
The success of the first edition has stated that the Talent Arena will return in 2026, scheduled for the Montjuïc Fair from March 2 to 4. With an expanded approach, the event seeks to consolidate itself as the inescapable appointment for digital talent in Europe and reaffirm the position of Barcelona as the capital of digital professionals.
