A Cultural Renaissance in Cambrils
The Councilor for Culture of Cambrils, Jordi Barberà, has unveiled a rich cultural program for the spring, which includes more than 70 diverse activities that embrace music, theater, literature and many other artistic disciplines. This offer, which can be consulted in the new edition of the newspaper Cambrils Cultura, stands out for its inclusivity and variety.
A Space for All
The presentation of the program took place at the Cultural Center and was attended by prominent figures from the local cultural world, including Gemma Massagué and Gerard Martí. The event was marked by the use of a poetic phrase by Joan Salvat-Papasseit, which symbolizes the importance of the public in the cultural life of the city.
Activities for Every Taste
Among the highlighted activities, traditional ones such as Theater Sundays and music sessions in the Crypt are included, as well as new ones such as the preview of a short film created by a local resident and the ‘Buscar l’Agulla’ project, which seeks to connect the community with its history.
Festivals and Celebrations
Spring will also witness important celebrations, such as the 50th edition of the International Music Festival and the 40th anniversary of the Municipal School of Music, which will be accompanied by a special festival in the schoolyard.
Exhibitions with Impact
Two notable exhibitions include a retrospective of the artist Montserrat Recasens, as well as a proposal that explores the collective memory of the town through the project ‘Buscar l’Agulla’, which reflects on the Pòsit building.
Family Theaters and Cinema
The family theater offer is expanded with ‘El Fil Vermell’, a production that is part of the ‘Cap Butaca Buida’ initiative, which seeks to increase theater attendance. In addition, the Rambla de l’Art Cinema will include operas and ballets, as well as the preview of the short film ‘¿Cuento contigo?’, starring a local artist.
A Future Full of Possibilities
Councilor Barberà highlighted that the programming is dynamic and evolving, with new initiatives that can be added during the semester. This opens the door to more proposals that will enrich the cultural offer of Cambrils.
