Presentation of the Cuidem Plan
Tortosa City Council presented today the second Cuidem Plan, a maintenance program for public roads and municipal facilities that began in September last year and which, once the actions of the first plan have been completed, continues with 180 new measures. According to the municipal team, the aim of the plan is to maintain the necessary improvement actions on a constant basis.
Objectives of the Plan
The mayor, Jordi Jordan, and the councilor for Municipal Services, Marga Abelló, have presented the Cuidem Plan accompanied by representatives of the different associations of residents of the municipality. The plan continues to prioritize brigade, cleaning and gardening actions, with a focus on more lighting, shadows, accessibility and road markings.
The Details of the Plan
Of the 180 actions included in the plan, 20% have already been implemented and the City Council expects to complete them by the end of the year. The actions are financed with own resources, through the brigade’s staff and the fulfillment of cleaning and public lighting contracts.
The works include sidewalk repair works and street resurfacing, improvement of pedestrian crossing lighting, removal of architectural barriers, replacement of plants, clearing of vegetation, improvement of children’s parks, creation of dog recreation areas , installation of benches and bins, and the renewal of horizontal signage.
Citizen responsibility
The Plan Cuidem Tortosa encourages the public to participate in the maintenance of the city, promoting civility and the preservation of public spaces.
